Viola Rose Rafalko

Nags Head – Viola Rose Rafalko, 86, died peacefully at home Monday, February 24th, 2014 in the arms of Jesus surrounded by a choir of angels.

Viola is predeceased by her parents, Thomas Flanagan and Viola Flanagan Laudone, husband John Rafalko, daughter Barbara Erskin, brother Thomas Flanagan and sister Blanche Rafalko.

Many are left to remember this kind, gentle, loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend who lived to bring happiness to everyone who touched her life.

She is survived by her daughters; Diane Hollingsworth (Robert) and Connie Chinni (John), sons; John and Allen Rafalko, sisters; Cathrine Schwander and Barbara Pammer (Frank), grandsons; Keith and Allen Rafalko and Shane Chinni, granddaughter; Heather Rose Shaw (David), great grandchildren Mia, Summer, Isabella, David and many nieces and nephews.

Viola’s final wishes are to remember her in your prayers, to love your family and thank the doctors and nurses who maintained her health, allowing a long life to share with her family. No services are planned at this time.
