Business Overview Interview with Courtney Gallop - President of Gallop Funeral Services

We would like to remind families that like other life rituals and celebrations such as weddings, bar-mitzvahs, retirement, and anniversaries; funeral ceremonies can represent a significant expense. We believe that decisions for final care should be based on full information and full disclosure of funeral options and prices so each family regardless of their financial position, can fulfill their loved one’s final wishes with dignity and honor.

State and federal laws that oversee the funeral industry require each funeral home to maintain a general price list or GPL. These standardized documents are available from all funeral homes upon request.

It is designed to be compared with each other by families to evaluate the costs associated with each funeral service option they may be considering. Families are well served to explore their options and preferences with more than one funeral home by carefully comparing each firm’s general price list.

Funeral decisions should be made the same way savvy consumers make other major purchasing decisions. The savings you find could be significant for the same or similar goods and services. The benefit of approaching funeral choices in a comparative manner is that each family has a fair opportunity to select the most fitting tribute to their loved one that is also manageable and realistic for the surviving family members.

Gallop Funeral Services, Inc. is a fully state licensed funeral establishment and pre-need provider. The funeral director in charge is available around the clock to assist all families.
