Timothy A. Virzi

Timothy A. Virzi died unexpectedly of natural causes at his Kitty Hawk home April 21, 2026. Tim had been in declining health for the past several months following a massive stroke. He was born in Norfolk, VA but considered the Outer Banks home. Here, Timothy developed an appreciation for great food and became a successful chef. Tim worked in several notable restaurant venues throughout the beach. He created unique and memorable dishes for the enjoyment of thousands of locals and visitors alike.

Survivors include his three children Cameron, of Hatteras, Madison (Alex) of South Carolina, and Lydia (TW) of Grandy as well as his three grandchildren and other relatives and friends.

The family is honoring Tim’s preference for cremation and plans for his future memorial gathering are pending at this time. In lieu of flowers or food, the Virzi family is urgently and gratefully seeking assistance to offset Tim’s cremation expenses.
