Peggy, We are sorry to hear of Tom's passing. He leaves behind a great legacy of service to his community. Our prayers are with you.
Tom was my cousin, but he felt more like a brother. Along with my brother and sister, we grew up together when he and his mom stayed with our family for a while during the war and then moved in next door. Through the years, our families remained close and I have many happy memories of him. Growing up, he was a very smooth, polished athlete. If he hadn’t had a serious injury to his knee in high school, he probably would have had a great college career at quarterback. I always enjoyed his company. As the years rolled by, I often wished there weren’t so many miles between us. I loved the guy and I’ll never forget him.
Dear Miss Peggy and the entire Saporito Family, It is with a heavy heart we send our condolences for the loss of your Husband, Father, Grandfather, Brother and Uncle. Tom will be fondly remembered as the man in our little neighborhood who was quick with a wave and smile, a man who loved his routine of golf, cutting the grass and washing his car. A Proud Man! For Sharon and I he'll be remembered as a kind soul, with kind words, those of that a Father would share, loving and sincere. We'll miss the Fire Works, and seeing him in Church, but there is no doubt Tom will be seeing us in Church as he looks down upon us all. Love, Steve & Sharon Matulewicz
