Thomas Edward Nooney

Thomas Edward Nooney of 305 Jessup St Elizabeth City went to be with the Lord, on Saturday September 10th 2011 after an extended illness, at his home surrounded by his family.  Mr. Nooney was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church and served as a trustee. He was a retired aircraft electrician forman at US Coast Guard AR & SC of Elizabeth City NC.

Mr. Nooney was the son of the late Jesse and Edna Nooney of Creswell NC.  Mr. Nooney was survived by his wife of 60 years Juanita Parker Nooney, a daughter Debbie Nooney Harry, a son William Thomas Nooney and wife Marilyn. Five granchildren Jason Meads and wife Cheri, Erin Norrell, Billy Nooney and wife Jennifer, Jesse Nooney and Daniel Nooney, three great grandchildren, Jeremy and Justin Meads and Andrew Copeland. Mr. Nooney also had one grandaughter Alicia Nooney who predeceased him.  Mr. Nooney had one brother Rayvon Nooney (deceased on 09/09/2011) and his wife Sue, and one sister Dottie N Shelton.

A memorial service will be conducted at Fellowship Baptist Church on Possum Quarter Road on Wednesday September 14 2011 at 1:00. Visitation will be at the residence and after the service at the church.
Thomas will be deeply missed and never forgotten by all who knew him.
