Susan Lynn Wheeler

Buxton – On February 14, 2016, Susan “Sue” Lynn Wheeler, 65, went home to be with her Lord.  Sue grew up in Barberton, OH where she graduated from Barberton High School and received her Bachelor’s Degree in Education from the University of Akron.  She devoted her life to the things she loved most:  her faith, her family, and her students.

Sue is survived by her husband, Dale; two loving daughters, Amanda (Tony) Windham and Jennifer Wheeler;  sisters, Kathy Gerrick, and Merrie (Eddie) Heinrich; brother-in-law Edward (Marsha) Wheeler; nieces, Chandra (Tom) Kahl and Tandi Wheeler; and many other loving relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers, we are asking for donations of new children’s books (Kindergarten through Fifth grade).  Sue, as a teacher’s aide, loved reading books to children for them to dream and let their imaginations fly.  We will be donating the books to Cape Hatteras Elementary School.  All books should be mailed to Jenn Wheeler, PO Box 907, Buxton, NC 27920.  To donate money to the family fund, you can go to any LGFCU or SECU and ask for Amanda Windham’s special account.
