Stephen J. Slaughter
Stephen J. Slaughter, 52, of Jarvisburg, NC passed away of natural causes at the family home May 31, 2023. He was preceded in death by his father, Stephen Slaughter of Minnesota.
Stephen was kind-hearted and generous by nature. He could always be counted on to lend a hand or share the burden to make someone’s life a little easier. Stephen loved his family, camping, grilling, fishing, and rooting for the Green Bay Packers.
Survivors include Stephen’s devoted wife Katie Slaughter of the Jarvisburg, NC home; his daughter, Olivia also of the home; his mother, Maxine Slaughter; his two sisters, Krissie Slaughter and Kellie Slaughter; two nieces, Madelyn and Natalie; one nephew, Nolan- all of Minnesota; and a host of other relatives and close friends near and far.
Stephen’s preference for cremation will be honored and the memorial service will be held Tuesday, June 6, 2023 at 10 am at Gallop Memorial Chapel in Barco, NC. As Steve would have requested, casual attire is appropriate. Until the service, friends are welcome to greet the family and pay their respects at The Thompson residence in Powells Point, NC.
