Stephen Gene Griese

Point Harbor- Stephen Gene Griese passed away in the peace of his home on September 29, 2017. He was born October 2, 1949 in Winnebago County, Wisconsin to Jone Griese and the late Eugene Griese.

Steve worked in construction nearly all his life.  He had special expertise in bridge construction which he loved. Steve was employed in numerous bridge projects all over the country including the Woodrow Wilson Bridge (Alexandria Virginia), the 664 Bridge/Tunnel (Hampton Road, Virginia), and the Bonner Bridge (Oregon Inlet, North Carolina).

Steve leaves behind his wife, Lise Gehrke of the Point Harbor residence; four children, Cassandra Griese, Michael Griese (Deana); Stacy Conrad (Dave) and Ammcgee Caduto; his mother Jone Griese; two brothers, Garrett Griese (Cathleen), Glen Griese (Kay); three sisters, Gayle Savka, Clair Lehndort, and Kathryn Luebke (Steve Plantz), as well as numerous other family members and friends from around the country.

The family will hold a Celebration of Steve’s life back home in Oshkosh, Wisconsin at a future date.
