Stephen Anish DDS

Nags Head- Stephen Anish DDS, 63, of Baltimore, Maryland and Nags Head, North Carolina Passed away at his Nags Head home on March 8, 2011 after a year long battle with brain cancer. He is survived by his wife Nancy, his mother Marilyn and his loyal Lab, Mabel.

Born and raised in New York, Steve graduated from the University of Buffalo Dental School. He relocated to Baltimore where he practiced dentistry for 35 years, retiring in October 2005. He was a member of the Overlea Lions Clubs for many years. While serving in the Army at Fort Monroe, Virginia Steve discovered the Outer Banks. His love for fishing and hunting, as well as the beauty of the area kept him coming back. After vacationing in Nags Head for years, he became a part time resident of South Nags Head.

He has many friends in the Nags Head area as well as friends and a loving family in the Baltimore and New York areas. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Dare County Animal Shelter, and the American Cancer Society will be appreciated.

The memorial service will be held on Friday, March 18, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at Grace Lutheran Church, 4212 S. Croatan Hwy., Nags Head. Pastor Albert Izler will officiate.
