  1. From damming up creeks and building forts in the woods in elementary school to attending each other’s graduation at Parris Island we created a lifetime of memories. I am proud to have been your friend. I will miss you forever. Lisa, I am so sorry. I just can’t find the right words. Please know that there is an army of people sending you love right now.

  2. I’m glad to have gotten a hug and forgiveness from Crockett Friday afternoon before I left work. Lisa, he was so proud of you and how strong you are.

  3. I’m so very sorry Lisa. My heart hurts for you and all of Shawn’s loved ones. You are in my prayers.
    Forever and always ❤️

  4. Shawn always had a way of making each day better. I always knew whatever he was doing in the world was exciting and I couldn’t wait to see pictures of his latest adventure or funny joke he had to share. My world just feels emptier now. I never knew how much I would miss you. I hope you are continuing your adventures in the beyond. You will never be forgotten my friend.

  5. What a wonderful man and a huge loss! I loved this guy and will remember his smiling face and fun loving spirit forever. My heart goes out to his family♡

  6. What a wonderful spirit, gone way too soon. I am blessed I had the opportunity to meet and work with him closely, even for just a short time. Crockett always had a great story or something funny to say to make everyone laugh and his presence and positive energy will continue to be missed by me and his work family. Prayers and condolences to his wife, family and friends. Bo more pain, so rest easy buddy and we’ll see you in the other side.

  7. So sorry to hear this tragic news. Shawn was a high school and bus riding friend and my younger brother David’s best friend. Semper Fi Marine. Navy brother- fair winds and following seas, we have the watch. I am so sorry for his wife and family and I know deep rooted friends in the OBX.
