Sharon J. Bobay

Grandy – Sharon J. Bobay, 71, of Grandy, North Carolina peacefully passed Saturday, July 9, 2016 while on vacation in Williamsburg, Virginia.

Sharon was born to Wilbert & Mae (Sommers) Ohneck and was raised in rural Huntertown.  Later she moved to the mountains of Colorado before finding her way to the Outer Banks of North Carolina.

Sharon is survived by her husband, Lynn T. Bobay who she married in Ft. Wayne, Indiana on August 22, 1987.  Surviving are her children, Andy Colchin, Kimberly (Michael) Folds, Timothy Bobay, Benjamin (Erin) Bobay, Kylene (Greg) Lininger; grandchildren, Ryan, Jake, Connie, Michael Jr, Grace, Jaxon, Eryka, Claire, Alexandra, Olivia, Grant, Vanessa and Sam; and 6 great grandchildren.  Also surviving are 3 brothers, Jerry (Deb) Ohneck, Timothy Ohneck, Kevin (Claudia) Ohneck; along with a large loving family of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and in-laws.

A memorial service to celebrate Sharon’s life will be held on Thursday, August 4th at 10:30am at Laotto Wesleyan Church, 500 S Main St, Laotto, IN, with open visitation from 9:30 to 10:30.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial gifts to the Laotto Wesleyan Church – Guatemala Mission Fund.
