Ruth Olaizola

Kill Devil Hills- Ruth Olaizola of Kill Devil Hills passed away peacefully on March, 1 2017 and she was 86 years old.

Ruth had a natural talent for music and the arts, and embraced those gifts as a child and throughout adulthood.  She attended Shenandoah University for music, was involved in Community Theater in New York, and enjoyed sharing her personal artwork and creations.

Ruth was predeceased by her husband, Benito last year.  Ruth worked at an advertising company in New York City before moving to Kill Devil Hills after her retirement.  She adored the Outer Banks, and considered it her true home for life.  Ruth also loved all animals, and had a special place in her heart for her pets.

Ruth is survived by three children; Cathy Kellar, Debbie Guest, and Bill Guest, and was predeceased by her daughter, Linda Guest.  Along with her children and their spouses, she leaves behind many grandchildren and great grandchildren, whose activities she followed with keen and loving interest.  They will enjoy her memories and creative treasures for years to come.
