Rose Marie Firestone

February 5, 2023

Jarvisburg- Rose Marie Firestone, 63, went to be with her Lord on February 5, 2023 In Chesapeake, VA. She was born August 21, 1959 in Roanoke Rapids, NC and raised in the Baptist faith.

Rose was the daughter of the late Joe Redden Harrington and the late Rosalie Elizabeth Acree. She was also predeceased by her sister, Mary Alice Thomas and her brothers, Terry Allen and George Clayton.

Rose enjoyed cooking, doing craft projects, and gardening in her flower beds. Rose was always helping others.

Rose is survived by her husband, Joe Firestone of the Jarvisburg, NC residence; two children, Shonda Jones and Lynwood Jones, III; three grandchildren, Shane King, Danny Tres Guynn, and Kira Guynn; her two sisters, Jo Anne Adkins and Marie Gorman as well as many other relatives and friends.

The family is honoring Rose’s plans for cremation. Her celebration of life service will be held Friday, February 10, 2023 at 6 pm at Gallop Memorial Chapel in Barco, NC.
