Robin Privott Hartleben

August 8, 2009

51 year old  (PW) sailed away into the Kitty Hawk Sunset on the 8th of Aug. 2009

She joined her father Joseph Robert Privott, mother-in-law Betty Hartleben and dogs Morgan, Merlin, Heidi, and Thunder. Together they are watching
over her husband and soul mate Eric, her mother and step father, Ray and Dorine Straub of Salem, VA, her children and their spouses Mark Beard,
Patrick Beard and his wife Melissa, Justin Hartleben and his wife Leanne, and Jared Hartleben. She is also survived by her grand children Aiden, Lance, Zack and Erica, her sister and brother-in-law Joe and Karen Licari of Chesapeake, VA, her brother and sister-in-law Joey and Lori Privott of Roanoke, VA, and many loving nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and
three dogs Glory, Tully, and Ice.

Robin was born in Roanoke, VA and was an honor graduate of Patrick Henry High School, attended Mars Hill College and graduated from the School of
Radiological Technology of Roanoke Memorial Hospital. Several years later, Robin moved to the Outer Banks where she began her career in real estate.

From birth she was an animal lover. She competed in horse shows around Virginia as a teenager, and as an adult, made it her mission to rescue abused German Shepherds. For the past ten years she has dedicated her life to serving the OBX through various fundraisers and benefits sponsored by the OBX Pirates Parrot-Head Club, for which she was the Charter holder. When she wasn’t partying with the Parrot Heads or loving on her family, she enjoyed running. She never took this gift for granted, and her
excitement has inspired friends and family to lace up their running shoes and go the extra mile.

Robin will always be remembered for her tremendous dignity, strength, and courage especially during her 3 month battle with cancer. Memorial contributions can be made in honor of Robin to the Outer Banks Relief
Foundation, P.O. Box 818, Nags Head, NC 27959.

On Aug.15th at 11:00am family and friends will unite at Kitty Hawk Baptist Church (3946 N Croatan Hwy, Kitty Hawk, NC 27949)for a memorial service in
honor of the life and legacy of Robin.
