  3. I have very fond memories of going to Aunt Frances’s home in Wilson with Rita and Frances’s sister Marguerite! Bob was always kind and we always had laughs and good times there and many good home cooked meals and beach trips! I was saddened to learn of his sudden passing! He was an unforgettable, kind and remarkable person and I will miss him!

Robert Whitman Hartis died suddenly of natural causes in Nags Head, NC December 21, 2024. He was 73. Robert was a local realtor for many years and was born in the Wilson, NC area. Survivors include his friend and former wife, Shelia Williamson of Kill Devil Hills, NC and several relatives and friends. Robert’s personal directives for cremation will be honored and no services are planned at this time.
