Robert W. Betz, Jr.

Southern Shores- Robert W. Betz, Jr., of Southern Shores, NC, died on Saturday, July 19, 2014 at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital. Bob was 67.

Bob was born in Philadelphia, PA to Rose M. Betz and Robert W. Betz, Sr. He attended Henderson High School and Widner University. In 1983 he married BJ, and together they had one child, Katie. Bob worked as Procurement Director at Johnson and Johnson. A unique soul with a big heart, anyone that met Bob knew he loved playing and teaching tennis any chance he got.  He will be greatly missed.

Bob is survived by his wife, BJ and daughter,  Katie, as well as his mother and two brothers, Tony and Carl. The family will hold a memorial service at All Saints Episcopal Church, Southern Shores, NC on Saturday July 26, 2014 at 2:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Bob’s name (Robert W, Betz, Jr.) with checks payable to USTA Foundation and mailed to 70 West Red Oak Lane, White Plains, NY 10604.
