Robert E. Krause

July 31, 2023

Robert “Bob” E. Krause passed away on 31 July 2023. He was born on September 4, 1932, in Camden, NJ. Bob was preceded in death by his beloved wife of sixty-four years and best friend, Louise “Lulu” Krause. He leaves behind a loving legacy as a devoted father to Eric Krause of Sugar Hill, GA, and Greg Krause of Moyock, NC. Bob is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, Mary and Juanita, his cherished grandchildren Erin, Matthew, Zachary, and Andrew, and his adored great-grandchildren, Theodore and Juliette.

Bob was a man of many admirable qualities, known for his delightful sense of humor, strong community involvement, and exceptional professionalism. Throughout his life, he nurtured a profound love for fishing and enjoyed going hunting with his beloved bird dogs.  Having served as a veteran in the U.S. Air Force, earning the rank of Sergeant, Bob’s aptitude for managing situations and helping others led him to pursue a career as a Funeral Director. He skillfully managed funeral homes in Philadelphia, PA, Camden County, NJ, and Cape May County, NJ. Among his notable roles, he served as the dedicated manager at the Evoy Funeral Home and the Krause-Evoy-Logan Funeral Homes. Alongside his wife Louise, he co-founded and managed the F.A.S.T. company, offering various funeral services, including prayer cards and the scattering of ashes at sea.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Bob actively contributed to his community and served as president of the local Lions Club. He generously employed his medical training and professional skills to assist the Wills Eye Institute in restoring eyesight to those in need. He often lent his voice to local organizations, passionately advocating for the importance of eye donations.

Funeral and burial arrangements are pending at this time. Evoy Funeral Home, 3218 Bayshore Road, North Cape May, NJ will be in charge of details.  Interment will take place at the Cape May County Veterans Cemetery, where Bob’s commitment to service will forever be honored.  In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests considering a donation to the Wills Eye Foundation or your local S.P.C.A., Albemarle Home Health & Hospice, or Currituck House of Moyock, NC in memory of Bob’s caring and compassionate spirit. Local arrangements were entrusted to Gallop Funeral Services,Inc.
