Robert Coleburn

Nags Head – Robert Coleburn, age 84, went to be with the Lord on March 5, 2016.  He was a retired insurance executive and attorney. His wife Barbara preceded him in death in 2008.

He is survived by two daughters, Kelly Macko of Kill Devil Hills, NC and Susan Cox of St. Simons, GA and two grandsons, Ryan Macko and Brady Macko.

Bob was an avid golfer and an accomplished jazz drummer. He was a member of Winter Quarters Golf Club and BPOE Elks in Pocomoke City.  He graduated in 1962 from University of Maryland Law School and he served in the US Coast Guard for three years.  He worked primarily in malpractice defense for many years with St. Paul Insurance Co. and USF&G from which he retired in 1994.

He was a member of Salem United Methodist Church where a memorial service will be held on March 17th at 2:00 p.m. in Pocomoke City, MD.  Any donations in lieu of flowers should be sent to Salem United Methodist at P.O. Box 145, Pocomoke City, MD 21851.
