Richard Eugene Hughes

Kill Devil Hills- Richard Eugene Hughes, 62, died at his home Friday, January 6, 2017 after a brave battle with cancer.  He was born in Portsmouth, VA.  Richard worked for many years at the Norfolk Ship Yard and was a nuclear supervisor in the defense industry.

Survivors include his wife, Frances Hughes of the Kill Devil Hills residence, and two children Crystal Hughes (Anthony), Cody Hughes, one grand-daughter, Marilyn Spencer ,his sister Evon Hughes, and many other loving family members and friends.

His memorial service will be held Saturday, March 25, 2017 at 2pm will be at the Ocean Bay Beach Access, 103 S Virginia Dare Trail, Kill Devil Hills NC 27948. Reception will follow.
