  11. I did not know him well – But he literally gave me the shirt off his back. He came into our office with a BB King T-shirt, I started talking to him about it & he went outside took it off, put on his hoodie & brought me the T-shirt. I will never forget that. May he rest in peace.

Their parents were some of our best friends until they were called to heaven. Praying for the family and friends.

Rhondal Lewis Midgett, Jr.

It is with deepest sadness we announce the loss of Rhondal “Ronnie” Lewis Midgett, Jr. on May 9, 2024. His death was very unexpected, and he will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Ronnie was born October 5, 1965 to the late Rhondal Lewis Midgett, Sr. and Connie Dianne Lewis Midgett. He is survived by sisters, Debbie Jernigan of Wanchese and Cindy Grosskopf of Creedmore; brother, Kevin Midgett of Poplar Branch; nephews, Omie Gallop, Joey Salter, Jonathan Gallop, Jeremy Salter, Jack Midgett; and nieces, Elyse Midgett, and Caitlyn Jernigan. He is also survived by a great nephew, two great nieces and many cherished extended family members and friends.

In keeping with Ronnie’s wishes, a funeral service will not be scheduled. His siblings will receive family and friends at 350 Old Wharf Rd, Wanchese on Monday, May 13th from 9:00AM-9:00PM. Arrangements were entrusted to Gallop Funeral Services, Inc. Condolences to the family may be expressed via the on-line registry at www.gallopfuneralservices.com
