Pauline Tauber
Colington- Mrs. Pauline Tauber, 91 of Colington, NC died Saturday January 21, 2017 at home of natural causes. “Mrs. T” as she was lovingly known, was born in Cuba. She was the daughter of the late David and Rose Namias and was also predeceased by her husband, Moises Tauber, her daughter, Lee Tauber Stumph, and her brothers, Albert Namias and Gerald Namias.
Locally, Mrs. T founded and operated Mrs. T’s Deli in Nags Head, North Carolina for many years. Her humor and signature sandwiches were legendary all over the beach.
Pauline Tauber is survived by her daughter, Shirley Tauber of Colington, NC; three sons, Jeffrey Tauber also of Colington, NC, Joseph Tauber (Andrea) of Kill Devil Hills, NC; and Louis Umansky of Tamarac, Florida; her sister, Reina Perez of New Jersey, , her grandchildren, Amanda Bering (Patrick) of Baltimore, MD, Jamie Tauber of San Francisco, CA, Emily Tauber of, Sykesville, MD, David Stumph (Jessica) of Kitty Hawk, NC, and Stacey Stumph Harrington (Carl) of Wendell, NC, and one great-granddaughter Leah Harrington, and former daughter-in-law Stephanie Kresky. She also leaves behind many nephews, nieces, and friends.
Pauline Tauber will be buried Tuesday January 24, 2017 at an 11 am graveside funeral service at National Memorial Park in King David Memorial Gardens Fairfax, VA. She will rest there, beside her husband.
Memorial contributions in Mrs. Tauber’s memory can be made to Colington Fire and Rescue and/or Dare County Home Health and Hospice.
