Pauline W. Tarantini

Pauline “Paula” Wilma Tarantini, age 84, of Nags Head, North Carolina passed away peacefully on May 5, 2023.

Paula was born in Manhattan, New York on February 2, 1939, and was the oldest of three children, to proud parents William and Pauline (Moucha) Pesek. Paula lived in New York until she relocated with her daughter and family to North Carolina in 2017.

Paula was predeceased by her parents, William and Pauline Pesek; her husband, Donald Tarantini; and her brother, William Pesek.

Left to cherish Paula’s life are numerous family members and friends: Paula was a loving mother to her daughter, Christina Burns and her son-in-law, Michael Burns of Nags Head, North Carolina; as well as the adored and cherished grandmother to Taylor Burns and Dylan Burns. Paula is also survived by her sister, Linda Torres; brother-in-law, Gene Torres; sister-in-law, Bernadette Pesek; many nieces and nephews and numerous extended family and friends.

Paula always put the needs of others first before herself and was a kind and thoughtful soul. Paula will be remembered by the many lives she touched.

Paula’s greatest love was to spend time with her family and enjoyed gardening, the beach, and the outdoors. She will be forever remembered as a caring, kind, helpful, compassionate mother, grandmother, wife, daughter, sister and person.
