We were privileged to “grow up”with Bubba and the Walke family in P-town and have sweet memories of them thru the years. We will always remember how much he loved the Biltmore softball and basketball teams. He gave 100% to everything he did. A quiet man, he deeply loved his Lord, his soulmate Kathy, his family and friends. Mike loved to tease him, always calling him Orrin and got a big smile in return. Bubba and Kathy are our neighbors at Island Hideaway Campground. And yes he was so kind to Linda and myself always there to help or fellowship. I always looked forward to seeing him and getting an update on fishing. I can't even express how much he will be missed. My condolences to Kathy and family with prayers of comfort.

I was sorry to hear of Bubba’s passing. I was fortunate to fish a couple of Tournaments with him on the CHAC teams. The last talk we had was with the hopes we’d fish together this spring. We’ll all have to wait just a little longer. May his fishing skills and fortune be passed on to those of us who still fish on with his memories.

Such a nice guy who we seldom saw in recent years. We have good memories from the time we spent together - much of which was on a baseball field. Of the children, we know Nick best. He has a special place in our hearts, but our sympathy and love go to Kathy and all the family.

Bubba was special guy never a bad word to say about anyone. I remember pick up baseball at the Highland Park field. Another neighborhood good guy gone way too soon. Praying for family and friends.

As a young engineer (and Yankee), got to work with Bubba at NNSY in the 90's. Such a great guy, always made me laugh. Took work about as unserious as one should, focusing on life outside NNSY. I remember once in the office, I was struggling with a fever and, while holding my head in my hands, asked Bubba “Hey, at what temperature do you call in sick?” He smiled and said, “85 degrees and sunny.” RIP Bubba, peace to the Walke family
