Norman Cyral Edwards

Colington- My daddy, Norman C. Edwards, 96 born in 1927 in Stokes, N.C. (formerly of Hampton, VA) was called home by The Lord, Sunday, January 7, 2024 at his home in Kill Devil Hills, NC. Daddy was surrounded by family.

After serving in the Navy June 11,1944 through May 21,1946 Norman was honorably discharged. He retired from The Newport News Shipbuilding after 42 consecutive years as a general foreman in departments X 31 and X 01.

Norman is survived by his daughter, Carol E. Darrah; his grandson, William E. Lawson, IV; one sister, Geraldine Robbins; two brothers, David (wife, Patty) and Ronnie. He was preceded in death by his wife, Juanita; son, Donnie; grandson Donnie, Jr.; parents, Lee and Lina; sisters, Lillie, Ruby, and Edna; and brothers, Lee, Jr., and Kermit.

We extend a special thank you to Albemarle Hospice for the care they provided. Norman’s memorial will be private. I LOVE YOU DADDY…Please share an expression of comfort with the family at www.gallopfuneralservices.com. Gallop Funeral Services, Inc. was entrusted with arrangements.
