Neil Francis McKeown

Duck – Neil Francis McKeown, age 69, died at his home in Duck, NC, on Sunday, July 26, 2015. Born December 5, 1945, in Natick, MA he was the oldest son of Cornelius and Edith and brother to Greg and Steve McKeown. He graduated from Saint Anselm College and attended the University of New Hampshire on a full scholarship before settling in Alexandria, VA. He worked for the Central Intelligence Agency for over thirty years. Neil was a selfless, giving, humble, generous, husband, father, brother, son, and friend. He loved the Red Sox, Patriots, golfing, and fishing.  Survivors include his loving wife, Carol, his two sons, Brian and Kevin, and his two daughter-in-laws, Sarah and Hillary.

Services will be held at on 2 p.m., Thursday, July 30, at the Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, 301 W Kitty Hawk Rd, Kitty Hawk, NC 27949. Burial will be held in private. Relatives and friends are welcome at the service and the reception immediately following it at 125 Trinitie Drive Duck, NC 27949, from 3:30 to 5 p.m.
