Nannette Blanche Slovenski

Nags Head- Nannette Blanche Slovenski, 83, passed away peacefully of natural causes in Nags Head, NC February 17, 2018. “Nan” or “Shorty” as she was lovingly known was born in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Frank and Evelyn Kroboth. Nan was preceded in death by her son, Robert Anthony Slovenski, Jr; her grandson, Paul Slovenski Jr, and by one brother and one sister.

Nan almost single-handedly raised her three sons and worked at numerous jobs including MTD of Cleveland where she was a long-time assembly line worker. After retiring, Nan relocated to the Outer Banks to join her family members and enjoy some well-deserved relaxation. She especially loved fishing and camping trips.

Nan leaves behind her two sons, Michael Slovenski (Teresa) of Colington, NC and Paul Slovenski of Colorado; two granddaughters, Elizabeth N. Slovenski and Leann Slovenski; and her daughter-in-law, Debbie Slovenski all of Colington. Other survivors include numerous family members in Ohio, Florida, and Pennsylvania.

Nan’s funeral will be held at the Crown Hill Cemetery Chapel in Twinsburg, OH Saturday, March 3, 2018 at 2 pm. Burial will immediately follow the service. In lieu of flowers the family gratefully requests that memorial donations be made to The Beach Food Pantry, PO Box 468, Kitty Hawk, NC 27949.
