Michael H. Green

Duck – Michael Hugh “Mickey” Green has passed from this earthly life to eternal life with his Lord Jesus. He is predeceased by his parents Kenneth F. and Phyllis V. Green, We are sure they are celebrating his homecoming.

Mickey was a Vietnam War veteran serving in the Army. He was also a very talented carpenter who trimmed out many beautiful homes on he Outer Banks of North Carolina.  He possessed a wonderful sense of humor which he generously shared with all in songs, stories, and jokes.  He never met a stranger.

He leaves behind one sister, Lynda and husband Herb Gilroy of Erie, PA. In addition he is survived by two brothers, Jeffrey Green of Mackinaw City, MI and Kenneth Green and wife Rita of Kill Devil Hills, NC.  Several nieces and nephews are a multitude of friends are also left behind.

Among some special friends, one in particular blessed Mickey with a place of access for hospice care for the several months he battled cancer.  The family thanks Pat Bray for her extremely generous care and friendship.

A celebration of life will be held at Liberty Christian Fellowship 244 Williams Drive Colington Harbour at 2 pm on March 25, 2016. In lieu of flowers please make donations to Dare County Hospice.
