Megan Elizabeth Zobel

January 2, 2025

Kill Devil Hills –  Megan Elizabeth Zobel was born on July 4, 1994 as a beloved daughter to Reid and Linda. She passed to eternal life on January 2, 2025. As the oldest sister to Hannah, Katelyn, David, she always loved her family- growing up playing Barbies and dress up.  Megan loved music and singing- from a young girl in church choir to an adult singing musicals at the top of her lungs in her car.

Megan grew up in Culpeper, Virginia, being very active in her church youth group and hanging out with friends. She was a favorite barista at Starbucks for years, always needing her morning coffee before talking.

In recent years, Megan moved to join her family to live in the Outer Banks.  She was thrilled to start a job as a teacher assistant at Montessori school using her God-given passion- loving children with her whole heart and soul.  She was so happy to be doing what she loved. It was not just a job to Megan, but what brought her joy and purpose.  Megan considered Heron Pond teachers and students to be her “bonus family”.

Considering this, in lieu of flowers, the family is asking for all donations to go to her school “HPMS- PSA” for a Megan Zobel scholarship to continue her love for kids. Megan’s celebration of life service will be held at Liberty Christian Church in Kill Devil Hills, NC Saturday January 11, 2025 at 2:30 pm.

As believers in Jesus Christ, the family can’t wait to be reunited with Megan on that day in heaven when every tear will be wiped away.  Until then, we will try to love others with our whole hearts as Megan always did.
