Margaret “Mickey” Barrett

Southern Shores- Margaret “Mickey” Barrett,92, died peacefully November 28, 2015 in Nags Head.  She was recently predeceased in death by her husband of 65 years, William Barrett.

Mrs. Barrett was born in Elkins Park, PA and spent her childhood in White Plains, NY. She was a long-time real estate Executive Assistant in the Armonk, NY area.  In later years, Mrs. Barrett enjoyed many civic and volunteer activities in the Cranberry Lake, NY community which she considered home.

Mrs. Barrett was also a seasonal resident of the Outer Banks for many years. Over the past year, she had resided with her son, Ron, in Southern Shores.

In addition to her son, Ron C. Barrett, survivors include her sons Wayne (Sandra) Barrett of Greenwood Village, CO, and William (Joan) Barrett of Ridgefield, Conn; her sister Janice Rawson of Atlanta, GA; four grandchildren, Tiffany, B.J., Olivia, Halayna; and one greatgrandchild, Hope.

Plans are pending for a graveside memorial service at Kensico Cemetery in Westchester, NY- the resting place of her beloved William.
