Which we visited so much over the yrs just to get those good BBQ SANDWICHES. REST IN PEACE MARGARET U HAVE DONE R SHARE OF WORKING HERE ON HERE .GOD KNEW R BODY WAS TIRED. LOVE YOU.

Until the last few years, we would drive up to Southland on Friday or Saturday to chat and eat dinner with Louise, Eddie, and Charlie and play some slots with them. She would always brag about her children. We hadn’t been down in a while since Gary has had some health problems. Oh how I wish I could visit and chat with Louise one more time. We love you still. Margaret Louise Harrell

Margaret Louise Harrell, 77, beloved mother, sister, and community pillar, passed away June 24, 2025, following a brief illness. Her warmth, wisdom, and unwavering generosity touched countless lives.   Louise was the proud owner of Southland in Moyock, North Carolina, where she fostered a sense of community and dedication that defined her legacy. Known for her selflessness, she always offered her wisdom and resources to uplift those around her, leaving an indelible mark on Southland’s community.

She was an extraordinary mother to her sons, Sean (wife Ruth), and Jason (wife Nancy), and an amazing sister to Linda (husband Bill), and her brother Glen (wife Connie). She is also survived by her grandson, Paris, and granddaughter, Katharine. Louise was predeceased by her former husband, Osmond. Her spirit of kindness and strength will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

A celebration of Louise’s life will be held at Southland Restaurant Saturday July 12, 2025 from 4 pm to 7 pm. Light refreshments will be shared. Per her request, in lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to the American Cancer Society in her honor, reflecting her lifelong commitment to helping others.  Please share expressions of sympathy or a fond memory of Louise with the family at www.gallopfuneralservices.com .
