Margaret Kelly

Kitty Hawk- Margaret Kelly- or Peggy as she was known to family and friends died in Nags Head September 1, 2015 after a long battle with Arthritis.  Peggy was the daughter of Harold and Ruth Sorenson and was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY.

Peggy was a faithful member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Parish and was active in the American Legion Auxiliary. She also enjoyed many a game of Canasta with her girlfriends.

Peggy is survived by her husband of 44 years, Brian Kelly of the Kitty Hawk residence; her two sisters, Maureen Roepke of Colington, NC, Patricia Pennela of Long Island, NY; her brother James Sorenson of Corum, NY; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family gratefully suggests that memorial gifts in Peggy’s memory be made to the Arthritis Foundation.

A Mass of the Resurrection at Holy Redeemer Catholic Parish in Kitty Hawk will be held Thursday, September 10, 2015 at 11am.  Father William Walsh will officiate. The urn will be interred privately in New York at a future date.
