Magdalene D. Leonard

Magdalene Doyle Leonard passed away on Saturday, March 11, 2023. She had just turned 83 years old. She was the daughter of Owen and Beatrice Doyle. She was born and raised in Louisburg, NC.

Magdalene spent most of her adult life in and around Raleigh, NC. She had a successful career first as a bookkeeper then property manager for 30 years with Lampe Management Co. based in Smithfield, NC until she happily retired to the Outer Banks. She was an avid gardener, reader and enjoyed many arts and crafts. Her favorite time of year was Christmas time. She couldn’t wait to pull out her Christmas tree and decorations that had been collected over the years, decorating her tree, house and spilling over into the front yard. It was a display that would make anyone feel the Christmas spirit.

Magdalene is survived by her 2 daughters, Patricia Doyle, Eva Nedwidek, and, son, Bruce Brown; her sister Rose Leduc, and brother O.D. Doyle; three grandchildren, Mitra, Ashley and Josh; three Great-grandchildren, Sydney, Kenzie, and Kali.
