Lori Ann Dupree

Nags Head – Lori Ann Dupree (nee Shearon), age 61, of Nags Head, formerly Indiana & Illinois, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 3, 2018 after a ten-month battle with breast cancer.

Lori is survived by her daughter, Stacey (Wallace) Walker of Manteo; son, Brett (Amanda) Forgich of Jacksonville, FL; mother, Agnes Krahn; sister, Karen Fife; brothers:  Michael and Scott Shearon; nieces:  Emily, Abby and Grace and nephew, Connor; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins; special friends, David Vido, Tracy Kay (aka Tiki), Kim LaFountaine, Pam Robertson and Bob Thompson; her furry friends: Sadie, Bella, Rudy, Reecie and Pirate; and many dear friends.  Preceded in death by her father, Robert Shearon.

Lori was born June 17, 1957 in East Chicago, Indiana and was a graduate of Hammond Gavit High School; she worked in the food, beverage, and hospitality industry all her life at various establishments in Illinois, Indiana and the Outer Banks; she was currently employed at the Days Inn & Suites Mariner in Kill Devil Hills; Lori loved her dogs and thoroughly enjoyed the Outer Banks lifestyle on the beach; she also enjoyed food and cooking for her family and friends – always had great recipes!; Lori will be dearly missed by her many friends and family and she will never be forgotten.

In honoring Lori’s wishes, a Celebration of Life gathering will be held at a later date, at which time her cremains will be scattered in the waters she loved so much.  Please omit flowers, memorial donations in Lori’s name may be made to Gallop Funeral Service, 6917 S.
