Linda L. Shartz
Linda L. Shartz 63, of Kill Devil Hills, passed away in Durham, NC after a brief illness December 23, 2022. Linda was born in West Virginia where she completed her education and began her family with husband, William. The couple raised their two children while Linda built a successful career in the medical industry.
In 2001, Linda and Bill relocated to the Outer Banks. Here, Linda continued working and eventually earned her North Carolina brokers license. In her spare time, Linda enjoyed quilting, fishing, and lending a hand to anyone who needed help.
In addition to her husband of 43 years, Bill Shartz of the Kill Devil Hills residence, Linda is survived by one son, Steven Shartz of Bridgeport, WV; one daughter, Erin Shartz of Kill Devil Hills; five siblings, Kathy Scott (Tom) of Lucas, OH, Bill Roy of Kill Devil Hills, NC, Sandy Spotloe of Philippi, WV, Vicki Poe (Chuck) also of Kill Devil Hills, NC, and Toni Kincaid of White Sulfur Springs, WV; as well as numerous other relatives, extended family members, and dear friends.
In accordance with Linda’s directives, she will be cremated and there are no plans for services at this time. Please share condolences with the family at www.gallopfuneralservices.com. Gallop Funeral Services, Inc. wass entrusted with arrangements.

I was there when Linda first met Bill, the turbo speed courtship and marriage. Linda never stopped smiling from the minute she met him. Linda made work a pleasure. She made sure she did everything efficiently and correctly. Always there to help any way she could. Sending love and prayers to all those who love Linda. Bill, I will keep you close in my heart. You have been my buddy since you were about 4 years old.

I was so saddened to hear of Linda's passing. We worked together and then remained friends. She was such a bright spot in every work day. Linda was a hard working manager who always pitched in to problem solve. She was clever and found the humor in every situation. She spoke of her family often, especially her children and beloved grandchildren. I know that Linda is dearly missed by her family. I am so sorry for your loss. She was a very unique person who holds a special place in the hearts of many. Blessings.
