I am so sorry to hear of Laura's passing. I greatly enjoyed working with her at the Fresh Market the year we opened. After I left, I always sought out her lane to share a hello. She typified the tennet of It's a Wonderful Life. She made an impact in our community, one person at a time. She will be missed by many.

Laura was kind, she was chatty and always full of laughter. Whenever, in her presence it was a pleasure. It has been a while since I seen her. When I received the news, I was saddened. She would surely be missed, another classmate has gone to be with our Heavenly Father.

My husband and I were true fans of Laura. She spoke often of her nieces and nephews while we checked out at her register. She never failed to ask about the granddaughters after we returned from a visit with them. She will be truly missed. Our deepest sympathy to the family.

I worked with Laura at the Fresh Market and she was always fun to laugh and joke with she was a valued employee always getting the most compliments from our customers and also a great friend. Laura's smile could light up a room. Michael and she had a special relationship, always joking and kidding each other when we ran into her at the store. When Michael suffered health issues, we could always count on her cheering us up with her smile and laugh. We are really going to miss her, as will everyone who knew her. Gloria, what can I say about Laura. You know I loved her right next to my own children. She was what love is all about. Kind, caring and loving. She loved her family and I had the privilege of being her “second” mom. This was all so sudden and a great loss to those that loved her. God bless you as you heal.

I worked at the fresh market with miss Laura she was my best friend, my sister and my angel. I will miss her so much by heart is broken but I know she is in a place where she will shine her brightest she loved me and my daughter stormie and she always told her in my stomach and the one day she finally got to hold and meet her that aunty Laura loved her and was gonna spoil her I will make sure stormie knows who her auntie Laura is. I had the pleasure to know Laura through our faith and love of service at Powell’s Point Christian Church. She was always smiling and so thoughtful. She was always engaged in our church ans community activities, we all miss you dearly but know that you are with our creator now💕🙏🏻

This news has shaken me up a little today. In our daily lives, we may sometimes find ourselves thinking that "nothing will change," and yet things can "change on a dime," as the old saying goes. I just saw Laura at Fresh Market last week (she was a cashier), and she was her usual cheerful, smiling self. I found her to be a bright shining light. Laura was steadfast, consistent with her upbeat attitude, and often shared how her faith in God and her family kept her happy and going. The first year I moved here, I sometimes would have tears in my eyes as I went through her checkout lane, but not after. We shared how blessed we were to have great, loving parents and siblings, and how God had given us so many good things to focus upon. I will miss seeing this dear soul.

I’m profoundly saddened by Laura’s untimely death. I have known her since Sea Mark. We developed an easy going familiar relationship. I phoned the hospital and the nurse relayed my words to Laura as I was saying them. I had no idea she wouldn’t make it. I am so glad I was able “speak” with her. She was a lovely soul who left us too soon. My heartfelt condolences.
