Kenneth Alderton

Powells Point – Kenneth Alderton, 67, of Powells Point died in Chesapeake May 16, 2014 after a brief illness.

He was predeceased by his parents Thomas and Lottie Alderton. Ken was born in Washington DC.  He and his wife retired to Currituck after Ken’s long career with the Montgomery County, Maryland WSSC.

Ken is survived by his wife of 48 years, Ruth, of the Powells Point residence, one son; Eddie Alderton (Holly) of Clarksville, MD; two grandchildren; Kristin and Katie Alderton, a host of extended family members, nieces, nephews, dear friends, neighbors, and beloved dog Bandit.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the American Cancer Society. In accordance to Ken’s wishes, no services are planned.
