Karen Sue Green LeBlanc

Southern Shores- Karen Sue Green LeBlanc, 55, died unexpectedly at home Sunday September 20, 2009.  Karen was born September 14, 1954 in Wilmington, North Carolina.  She was the daughter of the late Otis Martin Green and Norma Madeline Usher Green.

 

For 35 years Karen resided in the Outer Banks area.  She was employed as a real estate broker for most that time and was well known for her work ethic and expertise in local real estate issues.  In her spare time, Karen devoted herself to animal welfare causes and was instrumental in the development of local no-kill animal shelters.  She also enjoyed loving and caring for her own pets.  Karen’s compassion and bright spirit will be missed by all who knew her.

 

Left to cherish Karen’s memory is her son, Joseph M. LeBlanc of the Southern Shores residence; one step daughter, Melinda LeBlanc Crane of Virginia Beach, two brothers, Kenneth M. Green of Lumberton, and Robert M. Green and wife Patsy of Centreville, Virginia; one sister Linda Diane Bullock of Southern Shores; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members and dear fiends.

 

A visitation will be held at the Gallop Funeral Services Chapel MP 16 in Nags Head Tuesday September 22, 2009 from 6 to 8 in the evening. The funeral will be held at Biggs Funeral Home Chapel in Lumberton Thursday September 24, 2009 at 1:00 pm. Interment will follow at Gardens of Faith cemetery in Lumberton.
