John Burton Vick
John Burton Vick or “JB” as he was best known, went home to be with his Heavenly Father November 16, 2021. He was surrounded by his family and listening to his favorite gospel hymns.
JB grew up in Red Oak, North Carolina. He was born July 9,1930 to his parents- Irene and Levy Vick. Besides his parents, JB was predeceased by his three brothers, Billy, Albert, and Levy, Jr. He will be remembered most for his funny stories and his love of family.
JB’s survivors include his wife, Louise Vick of the Colington, NC residence; two children Anne Holland (Bill) also of Colington, John Vick, Jr. (Dana) of Edenton, NC; his six grandchildren, Jonathan Vick (Karen) of Greenville, NC, Joshua Holland of Colington, Tyler Vick (Maricarmen) of Mexico, Allison Holland of Colington; Gracie Vick of Edenton, and Zoe Holland also of Colington, as well a host of extended family members and friends.
The family will hold a memorial gathering to celebrate the life of John B. Vick Saturday November 20, 2021 from 1 pm to 3 pm at Dortches Baptist Church Family Life Center in Dortches, North Carolina. In lieu of flowers, the family gratefully requests that memorial donations in JB’s memory be made to Dare County Special Olympics
