Condolences
I am so sorry for your families loss. He was such a good man and so kind he always would say hey girl, what are you doing? How are you doing? He had a smile for everybody. It seems like and he was such a good hearted man who tried to help anybody that was less fortunate than him as the obituary says and people just took advantage of him and I hate that, because he did not deserve that at all, he was such a good person and was so kind I used to see him sitting at McDonald’s every day when I would go by eating his breakfast he will be missed. I will not see him walking across that road anymore to his grandson, James House like I used to and I will miss that or him just stopping and saying hi. I would sit on my porch and listen to his stories. He would be telling his grandson James and I always love to hear them. He probably didn’t know I could hear lol but they were interesting. He will be missed fly high Mr. Mims your with the angels and your wife and your daughter and your son now, I know you’re happy RIP Mr.Mims
I attend church with Ms. Carol Barfield, Mr. Mims' sister. Although I did not know him personally, my family will be keeping Ms. Carol and the family in our prayers. (Philippians 4:7)

I am so sorry for your families loss. Years ago he went to New Vision Community Church where I also went and his son James II went. I met his wife Sharon there and remember them bringing their grandchildren there. Jimmie was always smiling and loved to talk especially about his family. It was always obvious to me that his entire family was very close, I know they will miss him but I also know he is with Jesus, his wife, and those that have gone before him and will have all the happiness of eternity. TO ALL THE MIMS FAMILY: I FIRST MET MR. JIM MIMS IN OUR COUNTRY STORE IN MAPLE, NC. I ALWAYS REMEMBER THAT DAY BECAUSE OF HIS BOOMING LAUGH & VOICE. I WAS ESPECIALLY IMPRESSED BY HIS KNOWLEDGE AS WE TALKED ABOUT FIRE DEPT. ISSUES THAT DAY. I ALSO REMEMBER YOU JAMES AS A YOUNG TEENAGER & YOUR SISTER, ETC... TOO. I MOSTLY SAW YOU JAMES WITH HIM & I SHORTLY REALIZED THE BOTH OF YOU WERE ATTACHED AT THE HIPS TO ONE ANOTHER!! AS THE YEARS PASSED BY SINCE THEN, NOW I SEE WHY JAMES!! I CAN SEE MR. JIM WAS A WONDERFUL TEACHER TO THE BOTH OF YOU. I AM SAD TO SEE HE HAS PASSED, I AM ALWAYS SAD TO SEE OUR OLD CUSTOMERS PASS, ALL OF YOU THEN WERE LIKE FAMILY TO MOM, DAD, ALICE & I & ALL MY FAMILY. I AM PRAYING FOR YOU AS ALWAYS. SHALOM ALEICHEM, NANCY D. SNEAD
