James (Jim) David Keiper

Kill Devil Hills- James (Jim) David Keiper, 60, of Kill Devil Hills, passed away, Thursday, February 27, 2014.
Jim fought his battle with cancer hard, to the very end, defying all odds & surpassing all expectations. Born & raised in Stroudsburg, PA, Jim graduated in 1972 from Stroudsburg High, where he played on the football team, as well as track & field. He attended Pillsbury Baptist Bible College. Jim moved to Bradenton in 1975. He was a member of Bible Baptist Church. He was a volunteer fire fighter for Braden River Fire Dept.

Predeceased by his parents Charles Keiper & Roberta Lee; and his brothers Frank Keiper and  Kirk Lee.  Survived by his children ,Jayme (Thomas) Hennessy of Fredericksburg, VA, Jonathan (Carrie) Keiper, Sandra (Daniel) Dickerman, Rebecca (Kyle) Rouse, Sara Keiper, and Keala Keiper, all of Manatee County; his sister Linda Heeter & brothers, John Keiper, Charles Keiper, and Robert Lee. He also leaves behind 9 grandsons and 5 grand daughters who truly loved their Pop-Pop.
