Howard Wayne Ballance

Hattaras- Howard Wayne Ballance died December 3, 2010 at Outer Banks Hospital. He was born on May 2, 1940 in Hatteras, NC. Howard was the son of the Late Aulise Bragg and Thurman Ballance.

Howard was a lifelong Hattaras resident and was self-employed for many years as a mechanic. He is survived by two sisters, Lovie Carter and husband David Carter of Buxton, and Estelle Melanson and husband Richard Melanson of Augusta, Maine; one brother, Kenneth Ballance of Center Harbor, N.H.; one uncle, Calvin Burrus and wife Milly Burrus; four aunts, Marcelle Dawes, Cathy Burrus, Grace Peele and Mary Gray and husband Jack Gray. Also surviving are 5 nieces and 2 nephews, and a host of extended family members and friends.
