Harley Davidson Hayes

Manteo – Harley Davidson Hayes, 56 of Manteo, NC passed away Friday, June 20, 2014 at home. Born in Hampton, VA he was the son of Elton Terrance Hayes, Sr and Marion Daniels. Harley was a fisherman by trade and spent many hours on the water or in the woods hunting, his other favorite pastime. He was proceeded in death by two brothers, Elton Terrance Hayes, Jr & Lance Hayes and by the love of his life, Rene’e.

Besides his parents, Harley leaves behind two daughters: Teresa Massie and husband Freddie of Manns Harbor and Ashley Hayes of Manns Harbor and one son, David Scarborough of Kill Devil Hills, NC. He also leaves a sister: Jeri Hollis and husband Tommy of Manteo, 2 sisters in law: Sue Berry and husband Allen of Wanchese and Barbara Hayes of Wanchese, 2 grandsons: Tyler and Aaron Massie of Manns Harbor, 4 nieces: Candice Grant and husband Damion of Clayton, NC, Crystal King and husband Terry of Kill Devil Hills, Misty Cordeiro and husband Ryan of Skyco, and Jamie Hayes, 3 nephews: Carolia Hollis and wife Tina of Robersonville, NC, Blaze Hayes of Wanchese and Trey Hayes & 5 great-nephews: Matthew and Christian Hollis & Cameron and Dominic Grant and Noah Cordeiro. Harley also leaves behind a special friend, Pug Clark and his family Tracy, Brinli & Caden as well as his beloved dog, Bear.

Family and friends can visit and remember Harley at the home of his mother at 411 Hideaway Lane, Manteo, NC.There will be a private memorial service for immediate family at a later time.
