  1. Very sorry to hear of Gregg’s passing…. When I first started as a volunteer firefighter with the Burke VFD he was a driver on C Shift. Always fun to work with and a joy to be around. Rest in Peace Porter!

  2. Thinking of all of you hoping you have fond memories of Greg as a husband, father, brother, grandfather, and friend. I remember Greg fondly since meeting him when he was still a child and know he will be missed. Love, Nancy

  3. Christine, I have fond memories of your time with Jason and our family. I’m so very sorry for the loss of your father. May God give you and your family comfort and a peace that passes understanding during this very difficult time. Hugs and prayers!

  4. I am so glad Danny and I visited Janet and Greg this spring! Meeting them in Germany over 50 yrs ago planted a friendship that has endured all this time…through visits together at Myrtle Beach and at their home in Fredericksburg. We have treasured this friendship and will continue to! We love you Janet and will keep Greg’s memory in our hearts. Bless you Janet and Christine and Greg Jr. and your entire family! And as Janet always says…Hugs to you all!!

  5. Yuka and I am heartbroken for your loss. I feel like it was only yesterday we last saw him full of health at the cookie party. Greg was such an interesting person to talk with and we feel blessed to have known him and been supported by him in our own loss. He was truly a special man, wonderful father, obviously loving husband, and an all-around good person. You have our deepest condolences and love.

  6. I sure am a lucky girl to have met Christine at a young age because I also got to grow up with Greg and Janet and the Howard family in my life. Sending all of my love and prayers to The Howards. Pop will be missed beyond measure.

  7. We have some great memories with Greg. The Christmas’s at Granny’s, him coming to see our kids sporting events and celebrating graduations. So much time passes without seeing each other though, it makes you wish you had more time. We will miss Greg, but we are honored to have had the time we did with him. Sending love and hugs to Janet, Greg, Carrie, Christine and Jim.

Gregory Gene Howard, age 74, of Fredericksburg, Virginia, entered into eternal rest on Friday, September 13, 2024.  He was surrounded by family.
