Franklin Frey Fowler
Grandy- Franklin Frey Fowler, age 96, or “Ike” as he is best known, of Grandy, NC went to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, February 19, 2020. Ike went to his heavenly home to join his mother, Mary Alice Cozart; his father, Walter William Fowler; and his beloved son, Bruce Dwayne Fowler.
Ike was an avid fisherman who had the privilege of fishing the waters of Virginia and North Carolina and taking rides through Walnut Island on the family golf cart. He was a 34-year retiree from the Norfolk Naval Shipyard where he received numerous employee suggestion awards. His most impressive accomplishment was his promotion to Nuclear Inspector.
Ike is survived by his loving wife, Mary Amos Fowler; his daughter, Dianna Chipley; and three sons, Roger Fowler, Bradley Fowler and Dewey Fowler. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
There will be a “celebration of life” for Ike on Saturday, February 29, 2020 for close family and friends. Please RSVP by Tuesday, February 25th to firstname.lastname@example.org if you are planning on attending.
