Frances “Loretta” Dixon Brill
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Frances “Loretta” Dixon Brill, who left us peacefully on September 23, 2024. Loretta was born to the late Russell Dixon and Annette Jonns Dixon, who instilled in her a love for family, community, and faith.
Loretta was a devoted wife, mother, retiree, and grandmother who cherished every moment spent with her loved ones. She is survived by her beloved husband, Harold Brill, of Jarvisburg, N.C., who was her steadfast partner throughout their 24 years of marriage.
Loretta leaves behind three children who were the light of her life: Aaron Smith (spouse: Maggie Foster) of Florida, Chris Smith (spouse: Shannon Smith) of Florida, and Adam Brill (spouse: Tanya Everett) of Alexandria, VA. She was also a proud grandmother to her cherished grandchildren: Evan Smith, Keagan Smith, Logan Smith, Chelsea Gaines, Kadie Gaines, Logan Starke, Dalton Starke, Jose Queiro, Marcus Queiro, Adrianna Queiro, Lele Brill, Adalin Brill, and Van Bril. Each grandchild held a special place in her heart, and she treasured the time spent with them.
Loretta’s warmth, kindness, and unwavering love will be deeply missed by all who knew her. She touched many lives with her gentle spirit and compassionate nature. Loretta had a deep love for Christmas, which she celebrated with great joy every year. Her home was filled with festive decorations, and the holiday season was her favorite time to gather with family and friends. She also enjoyed collecting bird figurines and cherished her extensive collection of Coca-Cola memorabilia, which brought her much happiness over the years.
While a service will not be held at this time, the family plans to hold a memorial during the Christmas holiday season, a time that was especially dear to Loretta’s heart. Her memory will be forever tied to these special things that reflected her vibrant personality and zest for life.
May she rest in eternal peace.

Peace.
My prayers are with you all. Loretta was a very special person. She was a hard worker and a great mother. She will be missed...
She was an amazing woman! We met because I sold them a couple vehicles, and we became friends. I loved her passion for life, her husband and family, she spoke highly of the kids and grands. She will always be treasured in my heart. My condolences to you all. I'm glad to have shared a part of her life. Out of respect, I called her Ms. Loretta, she would say, "just Loretta", in her sassy way. Lol! I pray you all share the great memories and the trail of love she left for all. Live Blessed, Yolanda
Peace!
Mr. Harold, my sincerest condolences! Ms.Loretta was a great woman. I use to love helping her clean. The conversations were full of laughter, jokes and seriousness. RIP Ms.Loretta
I'm really going to miss you so much Lorretta. I will remember all of love and laughter we have shared throughout the years. Our heart are sad but we know you are at peace with your meal and papaw. It's not goodbye, but see you later. Snow melts, flowers fade and they pass as all things do... But time, love and memories they go on... My condolences to the Brill and Smith families. May God bless and keep you all strong for your days to come.
