  6. I first met Dennis when I came from Hertford to play softball with the Men from Currituck(you could write a book about them). All bigger than life and none more so than Dennis. He was a great player and much loved by all. We won a lot of games and had a great time together! He took me to several of my beloved Redskin football games. The NFC championship game was most memorable against the Cowboys! He came to Hertford and wired a newly built part of my house which every time I walk in it I think of him and his kindness. I last saw him in Manteo at a track meet and have never and will never forget what a kind generous man he was with a great sense of humor. Rest In Peace Dennis! You are missed!
