Deborah Hobbs

Manteo – Deborah Hobbs “Debbie”, 62, of Manteo,  passed away on August 17, 2015.

Debbie was born in Chesapeake, Virginia on June 30, 1953. She worked as a cashier for Piggly Wiggly and enjoyed working in her flower beds and watching movies.

Debbie is preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Betty Hobbs and her sister, Darlene Littlefield.

Deborah is survived by her daughter, Debbie Garason (Cass) of Manteo; three grandchildren Miranda Bauer (Brendon); Rick Bateman, and Joshua Bateman; and four great- grandchildren, Athena Bauer, Robert Bauer, Ryder Bateman, and Ava Bateman. Also surviving are Deborah’s four brothers David Hobbs (Sharon), Jeremy Hobbs (Mac), Melvin Hobbs, and Randy Hobbs; her sister, Nancy Thombs (Wood), and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family members.

The family will hold a memorial service at 1pm Friday, August 21, 2015 at Manteo Faith Baptist Church. Pastor Billy Dennis of Manteo Faith Baptist Church will officiate.

The family of Deborah Hobbs wishes to thank everyone for their help and prayers. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be forwarded to Gallop Funeral Services to help with funeral expenses.
