David Warner Fearing

David Warner Fearing of Kitty Hawk went to his eternal home Wednesday October 3, 2007 after a valiant battle with illness.  He was 63.  David was the son of the late George Fearing and Joyce Wharton Fearing originally of Elizabeth City and Kitty Hawk.

David W. Fearing was born in Elizabeth City, North Carolina November 13, 1943. He served his country honorably in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam Era.  After discharge from the military and raising his two children, David eventually relocated to Kitty Hawk where he became affiliated with various companies working with concrete, equipment, and other aspects of construction. It was in Kitty Hawk where David met his longtime companion and love of his life, Nancy Ward.  David was spiritual but not a member of a specific church.

David leaves Nancy, his daughter Kimberly F. Raulerson of Columbia, South Carolina; his son Dusty Dail also of Columbia; two brothers, George R. (Pete) Fearing, III of Atlanta, Georgia and Charles R. (Ronnie) Fearing of Lauflin, Nevada, two grandchildren, David and Daniel Raulerson of Columbia, South Carolina,  and a host of extended family and dear friends.

The family will hold a celebration of the life of David W. Fearing at three o’clock Saturday October 6, 2007, graveside, at Austin Cemetery in Kitty Hawk. Officiating will be the Reverend Jim Paisley.  In lieu of flowers, tributes to David’s memory can be forwarded to Albemarle Hospice, PO Box 189 Elizabeth City, NC  27907.
