David M. Wright

Powells Point – David M. Wright or “Cass” as he was known died unexpectedly at home November 12, 2015.  He was 61.  David was predeceased by his father Kenneth Ray Wright, by his brother Steve Wright and most recently by his beloved dog, Hershey that was a big part of his heart.

Cass was a welder by trade and loved his family and his friends.  He was also a huge West Virginia University football fan and an avid outdoorsman.  Cass was quick to help anyone in need and loved animals.

David Wright is survived by his sons, Michael Todd Wright and Brian Uriah Wright; the mother of his children, Julia Wright; his mother, Barbara Lee Williamson; his brother, Bob Stoneking; his sister, Susan Whitlatch and three grandchildren, and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and close friends.

Plans are pending for a celebration of life to be held in the spring of 2016. Condolences to the family may be expressed via the online registry at www.gallopfuneralservices.com. Gallop Funeral Services, Inc. was entrusted with local arrangements.
