Dale Adrian Lister

July 22, 2026

Dale Adrian Lister, age 64, left his home in Knotts Island to be with Jesus on July 22, 2026. Dale was born on June 21, 1962 at Norfolk General Hospital to Richard “Dicky” Lister and Erma Jane Wilborn.

Dale’s legacy of life remains with his wife, Kim Lister. Those who were blessed to know and love Dale, include his two sons, McCrae Kalista and fiancé Morgan Diserafino, Colsen Kalista and wife Loren Kalista; his two grandchildren, Isla and Rowen Kalista, his two brothers; Ricky and Mark; and sisters, Valerie and Michelle.

Dale lived his life out loud, literally loud! He loved the Kansas City Chiefs, his country and we all know President Trump! Dale enjoyed spending long days surrounded by friends and family on the shores of Carova Beach. As a builder and strong family man, Dale laid a foundation for his family and generations to come.

A celebration of Dale’s life will be held on August 1, 2026 at 11:00am at Bridge Church on 3168 Indian River Rd, Virginia Beach, VA 23456. Casual summer, patriotic, or football-themed attire is preferred, just as Dale would have wanted. A family burial will follow at the residence.

Please leave a message of comfort for the Lister family at gallopfuneralservices.com. Gallop Funeral Services was entrusted with arrangements.
